Dr Roger K A Allen MBBS (Hons. 1st Qld) FRACP, FCCP, PhD (Melb)
I am a Consultant Thoracic and Sleep Physician, in full-time private practice at the Wesley Medical Centre.
I graduated from the University of Queensland in 1975 with 1st Class Honours (with University Medal) and did my Intern year at the Royal Brisbane Hospital. Following graduation I did specialty training at the Austin and Repatriation General Hospitals, Heidelberg Melbourne where I gained a FRACP in 1982, and a Ph.D. at the University of Melbourne for my thesis on Sarcoidosis.
In 1985 I was appointed as Thoracic Physician at The Prince Charles Hospital, Chermside, Brisbane. In 1995 I went into full-time private practice at St Andrew's Place and was a Senior Visiting Consultant Thoracic Physician at Redcliffe Hospital until February 2001. Since October 2005 I have relocated to the Wesley Medical Centre, Auchenflower.
I can consult in French. My special interests are my family, French, military history, writing and sailing. I have consulting rights to:
